Eco-Friendly and Jobs for Homeless

At 73, this man from Santacruz, Mumbai, is truly an inspiration! Venkatram employs homeless people to create eco-friendly waste disposal bags. Discarded materials like gunny bags, rubber tires, and thread are used to make the eco-friendly bags, which are sold for Rs. 50. The recycled material art work is displayed under the Milan Subway flyover. The activity has a dual purpose—helping the environment and creating job opportunities for the needy.
